So yeah, I ran across some article or another, mentioning Nigeria, just reminded me of something I hadn't thought of in about 21 years.
I learned how to read before I even started school, so I had a habit of correcting people when they spelled something wrong (including a few teachers every now and then, damn they hated that).
Anyway, I remember being in 3rd grade, and I'm in school, doing schoolwork or whatever, and I'm looking at my book. I see the countries "Niger" and "Nigeria" in a list. So I took my book up to Mr. York's desk, and told him "They spelled nigger wrong in this book"..yeah I got in a lot of trouble for that one. And didn't even really know why at the time.

Is the 90's back?
Beavis and Butt-Head is back
Mortal Kombat is Mortal Kombat again, and better than ever.
Duke Nukem Forever is finally coming out (it was supposed to come out in the 90's, its been in production since 1997.)
Soundgarden is back, and recording a new album.
Alice in Chains is back, with a new singer that sounds just like the old one
Rage Against The Machine is back, and rumored to be working on a new album.
I'm loving this shit.

Do you ever really think about it?
Seriously, what's the point? We all run around living our pathetic miserable lives, no matter how important you may think you are, nobody is anything in the whole scale of things.. In all honestly, there isn't really anything that is anything in the whole scale of things.
We all run around, work our jobs, buy our worthless shit, look at animals eating each other, and some eating plants, they eat each other, grow, whatever the fuck whatever species does, but does it really mean anything? I don't see a fucking point. Everybody's miserable in one way or another, some in more, we do the same shit day in and day out, we kill each other, we fight, we fuck, blah blah blah. But I don't really see any meaning in this.
And don't start spouting "God this Jesus that Mohammed that" what the fuck ever. I've read enough religious books and went to church when i was a kid and all that shit. Even then I never got the fucking point. Why is there anything? Wouldn't we all be better off if everything just fucking died? I think we would. It's all a sick fucking joke played by whatever the fuck. There is no point to anything existing. If you look at the entire scale of things, NOTHING AT ALL matters in the end.
The military and the bureaucrats should just do us all a favor, since they're into building arms and war and shit to begin with, is just build a weapon that will destroy the entire fucking universe with one giant bang. There's your fucking cure right there.

Mortal Kombat (9) for PS3 (SPOILER ALERT!)
Well, in short, its fucking amazing. I played through the Story mode in about ten straight hours (at least one and a half of those hours was spent solely on the final battle, and I like it. A lot. Sure, they changed a few things, and the further you get into the game, the more it changes, but hell, I already knew what happened in the original storyline, and while it would be cool to see that brought to life in a manner better than the shitty movies, this story brings new things to the table.
In short, as far as I'm concerned, this is the way a reboot SHOULD be done.
The MK1 part of the story is pretty much the same, with the addition of more characters (which i'm sure they'd have done in the beginning if it wasn't for memory limitations back in '92) and even in several places seems to pluck scene ideas from the movie (and improving on them with better acting.. well voice acting anyway), except for the part with Raiden sending the message back in time to himself, and you get to follow the storyline of Cyrax and Sektor before they are turned into robots for part of it.
After Liu Kang wins the first tournament, Raiden realizes that wasn't what was supposed to happen, and the MK2 storyline starts, with several changes. For one, Raiden rescues Smoke from being turned into a cyborg, only to have Sub-Zero turned into one. You get to see Jax lose his arms firsthand at the blades of Baraka as well. Lots of good shit here.
In the MK3 storyline, you get introduced to Stryker and Kabal (before the respirators) and witness Kabal being burned beyond recognition by Kintaro, Kano rescues him and gives him the respirators, and gives him his hookswords. Anyway, I'm not typing the entire game out here, but let's just say a couple things.
First off, no fatalities in story mode. But they wouldn't make sense. Think about it... You kill Kano at the beginning of the game, it's not going to make much sense when he shows back up in the story. And there's a SHITLOAD of death in the cutscenes. When it's all said and done, and you're at the final battle, in which you have to fight Shao Kahn with....Raiden. This was the hardest part of the game for me, but only because Raiden is one of my weakest characters. You have to constantly teleport to beat him... Anyway, at the end of the game, the only ones left alive on Earthrealm's side are Raiden, Sonya, and Johnny Cage. Everybody else is dead and Quan Chi has their souls in the Netherrealm.
What surprised me is how much attention to detail was put into this game. Right down to the fact that, with the exception of Liu Kang (and the human Sub Zero), the characters that are left go straight into MK4. Obviously, the differences were intended, because the timeline was obviously changed a bit, and the ending of the game shows Quan Chi and Shinnok plotting their next move. I'm pretty sure I know where the next MK game is going to pick up, and I'm pretty sure that's where they'll re-introduce many of the characters that first appeared in MK4.
Now that I've gotten the story mode out of the way, let's get on to the rest. The gameplay is what MK should have been since MK4, instead of going full 3D. The controls are smooth, the gameplay is fast as hell, the combos are smooth, and it's become much easier to integrate your special moves into the combos, as well as creating your own combos on the fly. (not a Kreate A Kombo feature either, this just means you can try different button combinations, some buttons and moves flow together better than others, it's up to you to figure out which ones)
The fatalities are breathtaking, and the stage fatalities, well. The Dead Pool fatality has MUCH more detail, you see the victim writhing in the acid as their flesh slowly melts off. Feed your opponent to the trees in the Living Forest, throw them in front of oncoming traffic in the Street, grate their face on a moving subway train and then throw them in front of another train on the Subway stage, and my favorite is the fatality for Kratos' stage. You do it, and then you hold your opponent over the side. After this it gives you a choice. You can either drop them into something that just crushes them, drop them into something that cuts them into pieces, or into one that cremates them alive. Babalities are back as well. No Friendships, Animalities, or Brutalities though. Maybe via DLC sometime? (if PSN ever comes back up)
Now that the review's out of the way, a thought came into my mind.. They could totally throw in new plots via DLC with the same game. One I would like to see, now that I've played through this, is for them to put in the ORIGINAL (non time-altered) storyline. Hell, they could do a sequel in the same fashion if they wanted. Like I said, there really isn't much more they could have done to this game to make it even better.. It's almost the PERFECT MK game. The only things I could see them adding is new moves/finishers, and story, but I'm pretty sure that could all be added via DLC if they wanted to do it that way.
Anyway, 15/10. I've been waiting for this game since 1995, and Mortal Kombat games were always one of my favorite series, until they completely changed it in MK4, and even more in Deadly Alliance and every other game until this one. Don't get me wrong, I liked Deadly Alliance, Armageddon, etc, that whole system, it was great, but not as a Mortal Kombat game.
Now THIS...(meaning MK9)..is Mortal Kombat. And the fact that i've been waiting for sixteen years for this is why it gets 5 bonus points.
On a side note, no palette swaps. Each character is his/her own character.

Even more proof that Barack Hussein Obama is not an american citizen and therefore not legally President.

Now. Can somebody tell me why, when opened up in a hex editor, even in the long form certificate, in all the hex gibberish, the word "Adobe" pops up. (Kind of wonder about what Ducky means in that, if anything, since those are the only two readable words in the entire thing.
But we all know what kind of software Adobe makes, ie image, video and audio editing software, that's all I'm going to say on that.

gamedealsrus.com IS A SCAM!
OK, well, I've finally resolved my problem. I ordered MK through gamedealsrus.com, through Google Checkout. Thanks to Google Checkout, the money was back on my card, let's see I requested a refund about 1AM, when I checked my email and account balance at about 10:30AM the money was back in my account. I'm pretty sure things wouldn't have worked out this way had I ordered directly from the website, instead of using Google Checkout.
Anyway, I cancelled after I did some research, and found that gamedealsrus.com used to be AEGamesAuction, so I researched AEGamesAuction and found that they were most definitely a scam.
So again, I wouldn't recommend anybody buy anything through this website, gamedealsrus.com, EVER. They are a scam, nothing more.
Yet another thing I notices is that, on websites like ChaCha.com, here's a quote from there:
and on Yahoo answers (how I found out that it used to be AEGamesAuction)
So yeah, I've done the research on these people, and figure its a good idea to share my research and experiences with this company so that there's more knowledge of these types of scams going around. This site looks legit, but it is not. Again, gamedealsrus.com IS A SCAM. gamedealsrus.com WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF. (well, unless you look at it closely, and know a thing or two about web design, but to the average Joe, it looks fine.)
Anyway, shit, it's been out a week, and I don't have it yet. I'm going to go resolve that problem right now, which will probably be followed by my ass glued to the La-Z-Boy for a week plus. Now I just wonder how long my controller will hold up under the stress I'm about to put it through hehe.

Q: Is GamedealsRus.com a good site to buy from?
A: Gamedealsrus.com is legit. It has thousands of satisfied customers and has a huge selection of new and used games. ChaCha Forever!
and on Yahoo answers (how I found out that it used to be AEGamesAuction)
Q: What did the site aegamesauction.com change to?
I used the site regularly and got an email that they changed their website address but I deleted it and now I can't find it. I searched all over Google and nothing.. Does anybody know their new address?
A:
Hey bro,
Aegamesauction is now Gamedealsrus.com.
Cheers!

SONY needs to die.
OK, over the past year or so, Sony has continually been pissing me off, for quite a few reasons.
I bought a PS3, and had OtherOS on it for maybe five months. I have to admit, it was pretty kick ass being able to use Ubuntu on my PS3. Then they removed it.
I sold my PS3 and went back to PC gaming.
Then I read one night on precentral.net that there is a PS3 jailbreak that can be performed with the Palm Pre, which is the phone I had at the time (and still have).
Shortly after that, I bought another PS3 and jailbroke it. I didn't have any online games at the time, so PSN wasn't an issue to me.
It's easy to find info about the lawsuits and bullshit that have gone on in the past few months, since Geohot released the first PS3 custom firmware. Geohot's website is http://geohotgotsued.blogspot.com/ and has much info regarding the Sony lawsuits/boycott. (There have been many CFW's released by several different authors since then, and if I read correctly, it's better than the formerly Sony-approved Linux install, since it does not restrict access to the RSX (GPU).
Sony updated firmware, I updated with it, so I could still play CoD online. Since then there have been workarounds, but as far as I know, none worked with 3.60. I subscribed to Playstation Plus, bought CoD addons, a few games, and of course, took advantage of my "free" Plus member downloads.
So yeah, fast forward to now. I ordered the new Mortal Kombat online (from GameDealsRUs.com--DON'T ORDER FROM THEM! EVER! IF YOU MUST ORDER ONLINE, EBAY OR AMAZON!! Game came out Tuesday, April 19. It's Monday, and they haven't even shipped it yet.
To make matters worse, PSN is down. Can't play online games now, can't take advantage of the Playstation Plus service I'm paying for. And to make matters worse, it's just been discovered that it's possible that hackers have stolen personal information and credit card information from Sony's server.
I say boycott Sony. I'm seriously considering it myself, the only quandary I'm facing is the amount I already have invested into the PS3. So this is probably what will happen: I will continue to use the PS3, although I won't be buying anything for it anymore, or at least not unless it's something I absolutely HAVE to have.
But come the next generation of consoles, I'm going with Microsoft. Unless, of course, Sega comes back to take revenge on Sony for putting them out of the console business so many years ago.. Sega should put Sony out of business. I'm fucking ready for a Dreamcast II!
